The 2011 World Forecasts of New Pneumatic Rubber Tires for Bicycles Export Supplies
This report was created for strategic planners, international marketing executives and export managers whose primary concern is the world market for new pneumatic rubber tires for bicycles. With the globalization of this market, managers can no longer be contented with a local view. Nor can managers be contented with out-of-date statistics that appear several years after the fact. I have developed a methodology, based on macroeconomic and trade models, to estimate the market for new pneumatic rubber tires for bicycles for those firms serving the world via exports and foreign direct investment. It does so for the current year based on a variety of key historical indicators and econometric models.
In what follows, this report begins by summarizing the world market for new pneumatic rubber tires for bicycles exports. The total level of exports on a worldwide basis is based on a model that aggregates across over 150 key country markets and projects these to the current year. From there, each country represents a percent of the world market. This market is served from a number of competitive countries of origin. Based on supply-side dynamics, market shares by country of origin are then calculated across each country market. These shares lead to a volume of export values for each country and are aggregated to regional and world totals. In doing so, we are able to obtain maximum likelihood estimates of both the value of each supplier and the destinations (countries served by the supplier country). From these figures, world rankings are calculated. In this way, all the figures provided in this report are forecasts that can be combined with internal information for strategic planning purposes.
A group of nice old bicycle tools from arround the early 20's or 30's two of them are marked Burgers E.N.R. (Eerste Nederlandse RIjwielfabriek) which means the first Netherlands Bicycle factory. I knew that some tools where marked with the name of bicycle brands and where supplied with the bike for maintanance during a cycling tour. Most of the time there was also an small oilcan in the litle bag enclosed. I am searching for an nice toolbag in brown leather for my old Fongers bike which i am restoring on the moment.

Founded in 1899, the Canadian Cycle and Motor Company (CCM) was one of the largest suppliers of bicycles in North America. The company also manufactured automobiles under the name Russell — after company general manager Thomas O. Russell. In the 1910's, CCM began manufacturing ice skates to bolster sales during the winter months. Today, the company remains well known primarily as a result of its production of ice hockey equipment. This 1918 CCM catalog shows the bicycle company at its zenith. Filled with fascinating vintage accessories and cycles, it is a virtual time machine that takes the reader back to the golden age of cycling. Please note that this book was created using an original antique catalog. Although slightly reformatted, care has been taken to preserve the integrity of the text.
