Vitus 979 57cm Vintage Road Bike For Sale £250
This is the same frame that Sean Kelly rode for years (not actually this one obviously!). I believe this is the frame he was riding when he won the 1988 Vuelta a Espana and the green jersey in the 1989 Tour de France. It is very very light and feels amazing to ride. The 979 is a bonded aluminum frame. The main triangle is anodized aluminum. The tubes were made by Vitus. The frames were made and assembled by the French aerospace company TVT. The lugs are bonded to the frame with dry heat activated epoxy. The inside diameter of the tubes appear to be larger than the outside diameter of the lugs. So in addition to being bonded, friction holds the joints together. The lugs are all tight and the frame bike is in good condition for its year. The Vitus 979 is a classic racing frame. It is fairly light; I believe it was the lightest frame available for several years starting in 1986. It was a very nice frame for its time. As soon as you start riding it, you know it wants to fly. If you ride a road racing bike, you know what I mean. Vitus is "France's leading manufacturer of high-quality frame tubing." Vitus was one of the early makers of aluminum bicycles. Vitus made early carbon fiber bikes using the same designs as their high end aluminum bikes. Extract from a website: "I enjoyed the history and reputation of the Vitus. Not one of the other bikes I own evokes a reaction as consistently as this one. Walking into a bike shop with the Vitus is like stepping into a Spaghetti Western scene." The Frame is equiped as follows: Fork : Vitus 979 Stem: Italmanubri (ITM) Handlebar : 3TTT Ergo Power Due Brake levers: Campagnol Ergopower 8 Speeds. Brakes Calipers : Shimano RX100 (Front and back) Wheels: Campagnolo Omega, with Campagnolo Hibb ans quick release. (Front and back) Tires: Michelin Axial Select Kevlar Headset: Strongligth Sadle : Flite Titanium Seat Post: Shimano Dura Ace Front Mech: Shimano 600 Ultegra Rear Mech: Campagnolo 8 speeds, short cage Cranckset: Campagnolo 170mm 52-42 Rear gears : Campagnolo 8 speed cassette: 12-13-14-15-16-17-19-21 Computer: Specialized Sport. (Needs a new battery) Frame measures 57cm from the middle of the crank arm to the middle of the top tube. Although I've labeled this bike as "Vintage", it is perfectly suitable for daily use and rides better than many brand new bikes costing over a grand. The bike is in very good condition for its age. Everything works as it should and still has thousands and thousands of miles left to do. I am not selling any pedals with the bike as the ones that were on it became very tight and hard to disengage, making them dangerous. I don't want to be reponsable for you having an accident! So you'll your own pedals.
Cannondale Mutt Road Bike
This is a bike I've been building up so I can get some exercise. I wanted a US made frame and at least 62cm size. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be to find this so I ended up buying the frame and some other parts from a local guy and getting the rest of the internet. This is the first bike I've ever built and so far so good. It weighs just a HAIR over 20lbs (I have a hanging scale I use to weigh my guitars), not too bad for a 12 year old frame and 63cm size. 1997 63cm Cannondale R800/CAD3 Frame Dura-Ace crankset and chain Ultegra Shifters, Derailleurs, and Cassette 105 Brakes CF handle bars and fork Crappy Generic pedals

Topeak has received an avalanche of awards and accolades since its founding in 1991. The company has developed such innovations as the JoeBlow floor pumps with SmartHead technology, which sense and automatically adapt to Schrader and Presta valves without swapping out parts; the award-winning Morph series of mini pumps; the ALiEN multitools, which separate into different parts so cyclists can bring only the tools they need; and the Hexus mini tool and Bikamper personal shelter, which received the prestigious Red Dot award for outstanding design. The most important part of the Topeak story, however, is the passion of the founders and employees, who are cyclists, too. The company is dedicated to making the ride better, and focuses on creating products and accessories to help facilitate an escape from the traffic jams, cubicles, and mind-numbing meetings of everyday life.
