EVEN ANGELS WILL FALL Who is Satan? Who is Lucifer? Who is Beelzebub? In many cultures, including ancient Middle Eastern cultures, people were not given names such as "Bob" or "Harry", they were given names that had a meaning. For instance, Abraham means "father of a multitude"; Isaac means "He laughed"; Sarah means "Princess." It was common to change a person's "descriptive" name at various times in his life. For instance, Sarah's earlier name was Sarai, which means "mockery" -- because it was considered extremely embarrassing for a woman to be barren. "Lucifer" comes from the Latin word luciferos, which means "light bearer", i.e., someone who carries a light. "Satan" means "the Accuser." These and Beelzebub are some of the names for the Devil. "Who or what is the Devil?" Lucifer, the Devil, was the model of perfection (Ezekiel 28:12): most perfect most wise most intelligent most powerful most knowledgeable being ever created. (Ezekiel 28:15) -- PERIOD! Ezekiel 28:12-15 "Son of man, take up a lament concerning the king of Tyre and say to him: `This is what the Sovereign LORD says: " `You were the model of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone adorned you: ruby, topaz and emerald, chrysolite, onyx and jasper, sapphire, turquoise and beryl. Your settings and mountings were made of gold; on the day you were created they were prepared. You were anointed [specially selected] as a guardian cherub, for so I ordained you. You were on the holy mount of God; you walked among the fiery stones. You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you. As a result of sin, Lucifer became the most corrupt, most evil creature in existence. God drove Lucifer out of paradise. Satan corrupted his own wisdom. Although Satan's wisdom is now corrupt, he is still very wise. God punished Satan by bringing him to a terrible fate. Ezekiel 28:16-19 Through your widespread trade you were filled with violence, and you sinned. So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God, and I expelled you, O guardian cherub, from among the fiery stones. Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor. So I threw you to the earth; I made a spectacle of you before kings. By your many sins and dishonest trade you have desecrated your sanctuaries. So I made a fire come out from you, and it consumed you, and I reduced you to ashes on the ground in the sight of all who were watching. All the nations who knew you are appalled at you; you have come to a horrible end and will be no more.' " It is important to understand that Satan will never cease to exist. Ezekiel 28:19 "you have come to a horrible end and will be no more" seems to say that God will cause Satan to cease to exist. Many people take solace in this to justify their own refusal to accept Christ: "See, the Bible says that God will destroy sinners. Since I won't exist anymore, why should I care?" This is clearly not the case. "you ... will be no more" means Satan will not have influence. He will not have power. His ultimate fate is that he will spend eternity being punished in Hell. Matthew 25:41 "Then he [Jesus] will say to those on his left, `Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels." It is important to notice that in this passage Jesus will be speaking to those humans who did not accept Him, not to Satan -- but the fire is eternal and it was prepared for Satan. "Can Satan or demons perform miracles?" Yes! Satan and demons are supernatural beings. All supernatural beings are not bound by the laws of nature (hence, the term supernatural). Here's an interesting proof from Robbins, Rossel Hope. The Encyclopedia of Witchcraft and Demonology: (Kids, don't try this at home!) Exodus 7:8-12 The LORD said to Moses and Aaron, "When Pharaoh says to you, `Perform a miracle,' then say to Aaron, `Take your staff and throw it down before Pharaoh,' and it will become a snake." So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did just as the LORD commanded. Aaron threw his staff down in front of Pharaoh and his officials, and it became a snake. Pharaoh then summoned wise men and sorcerers, and the Egyptian magicians also did the same things by their secret arts: Each one threw down his staff and it became a snake. But Aaron's staff swallowed up their staffs. Usually, when this story is told the emphasis is on the fact that Aaron's staff won. How did the sorcerers ("magicians") transform their staffs??? Did they pray to the God of their sljust paper over the cracks

People who are homeless are unable or unwilling to acquire and maintain regular, safe, and adequate housing, or lack "fixed, regular, and adequate night-time residence." The legal definition of "homeless" varies from country to country, or among different entities or institutions in the same country or region. The term homeless may also include people whose primary night-time residence is in a homeless shelter, a warming center, a domestic violence shelter or other ad hoc housing situation. Government homeless enumeration studies also include persons who sleep in a public or private place not designed for use as a regular sleeping accommodation for human beings.Major reasons and causes for homelessness as documented by many reports and studies include: Unavailability of employment opportunities. Poverty, caused by many factors including unemployment and underemployment. Lack of accessible healthcare. People who have some kind of chronic and weakening disease but cannot get healthcare either because they don't have money to afford it or because the government will not give it to them are simply too weak to go and work every day so they remain poor and homeless. Abuse by government or by other people with power. War or armed conflict. Mental disorder, where mental health services are unavailable or difficult to access or as a result of deinstitutionalization. A United States Federal survey done in 2005 indicated that at least one-third of homeless men and women have serious psychiatric disorders or problems. Disability, especially where disability services are non-existent or poor performing. Social exclusion, including because of sexual orientation and gender identity Substance abuse Lack of affordable housing. An article in the November 2007 issue of Atlantic Monthly reported on a study of the cost of obtaining the "right to build" (i.e. a building permit, red tape, bureaucracy, etc.) in different U.S. cities. The "right to build" cost does not include the cost of the land or the cost of constructing the house. The study was conducted by Harvard economists Edward Glaeser and Kristina Tobio. According to the chart accompanying the article, the cost of obtaining the "right to build" adds approximately $600,000 to the cost of each new house that is built in San Francisco. Domestic violence. Relationship breakdown, particularly in relation to young people and their parents.[ Prison release and re-entry into society. Disasters, including but not limited to earthquakes and hurricanes. Forced eviction – In many countries, people lose their homes by government order to make way for newer upscale high rise buildings, roadways, and other governmental needs. The compensation may be minimal, in which case the former occupants cannot find appropriate new housing and become homeless. Mortgage foreclosures where mortgage holders see the best solution to a loan default is to take and sell the house to pay off the debt. The popular press made an issue of this in 2008; the real magnitude of the problem is undocumented. Foreclosures on landlords often lead to eviction of their tenants. "The Sarasota, Florida, Herald Tribune noted that,by some estimates, more than 311,000 tenants nationwide have been evicted from homes this year after lenders took over the properties." Criminality-- Some homeless may have committed crimes and are therefore hiding from the authorities.
