What a gray Sunday this has been! After going for a run (and hoping all the while it would rain because I LOVE running in the rain), I came home and decided to turn on the sprinkler and play. Too bad the dog wouldn't join me. She really needs a bath. :) I was tagged a week or so ago, so here are ten random things about me: 1. I probably have some form of OCD but I like it! It keeps my life orderly and clean. Now if only I could train the boys and the dog... 2. As of today, I've been running for a year. I still feel like I'm not really a runner but so far, no one has called me a fake. 3. I hate to shop. But I love to get new clothes. Is there any way they could just magically appear? 4. I love to eat! My husband is a caterer and he makes many experimental dishes. Most of them are amazing. This probably explains why I've been running for a year but haven't lost an ounce. 5. Actually, I don't know if I've lost weight or not. I don't own a scale and it has been several months since I last stepped on one. My life is happier now. 6. Although I am an elementary school principal, it was never my goal to move into administration (see... screw up, move up). One day soon, I'd like to go back to the classroom. That was when I loved my job the most. 7. Generally, I am a happy person. I don't get mad often and when I do, I get over it quickly. My husband says I think like a guy. 8. I love to read. I can't go to sleep unless I read first. Often, I wake up in the middle of the night and read some more (with a book light , of course). 9. I don't seem to need as much sleep as most people. I don't think I've ever slept through the night and I average around 6 hours of sleep each night. 10. When I was a child, I was painfully shy. Sometimes, I still feel that way. You said, "i'm done feeling like a skeleton, no more sleep walking dead". You're going to wake from this coma. You're going to crawl from this bed you have made and stop counting on that camera that hangs round your neck because it won't ever remember what you choose to forget. As you try to find some source of light. Try to name one thing you like. You used to have such a longer list and light you never had to look for it, but now it's so easy to second guess everything you do until all you want is to finish this half empty glass before the ice melts away. This feeling used to pass but seems like it's every day and every night now.
