Website of the socio-economic partnership projects selected under IPA call for proposals 129637 of the European Union.
This is not an official website of the European Union / European Commission and its content does not necessarily reflect the opinion of the EU/EC.

This website groups basic information of 12 projects receiving funding from the European Union (EU) under the Instrument of Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) call for proposals 129637 Socio-Economic Partnership Programme (SEP). These projects all aim to strengthen the role of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs).

This Call for Proposals forms part of the “Partnership Actions” of the IPA 2009 programme of the Civil Society Facility. This Facility aims to obtain a civil society friendly society, by strengthening CSOs by providing information and exchange  opportunities via the People 2 People initiative and Technical Assistance to CSOs via TACSO as well.

UEAPME video: Cohesion policy and Small Business Act - made by Dieter Grohmann

The aim of this call is to strengthen the role of CSOs and to develop sustainable partnerships and networks between on the one hand CSOs, business, trade unions, other social partners and professional organisations in the Western Balkans and Turkey, and on the other their counterparts in the EU. The purpose is to promote a transfer of knowledge and experience and to strengthen civil society within a participative democracy and to stimulate a civil society-friendly 'environment' and culture.

In particular, this Call should favour the following aspects:

  • a professionally operating civil society,
  • new CSO networks, common strategy and initiatives,
  • better quality of services and better dissemination of common values in the region,
  • increased support to democratic initiatives, including raising awareness of relevant matters amongst citizens and public authorities by means of intercultural dialogue.
