This is the full frame capture. I don't know anything about telescopes. This is the 1st time that I ever see thru one. Basically my friend Alan was nice enough to set up his telescope so that I could see Jupiter and other things in the sky. This was the coolest of the images captured. So Alan set up his Telescope and picked out different objects in the sky to observe. After the Telescope was aimed at something, Alan would install an adapter that had an EOS mount so that I could mount my Canon EOS 60D camera. I operated the camera but we all made decisions on exposure settings. Basically we just took several photos at different Shutter Speeds and ISO settings. The Aperture was not controllable thru the camera, it was a constant f/4 based on the EOS adapter. The Telescope has a computer and a motor that basically tracks its view of the sky so on long exposures you don't really see the stars streaking. What Alan did was aim the Telescope at the North Star (Polaris) to calibrate the scopes position. Afterwards the computer knows how to find things in the sky. However Alan also just manually pointed the scope at things since he knew where they were located. This image was captured as a RAW file. I processed the image in Adobe Camera RAW where I boosted the color. A little extra enhancements were done on Adobe Photoshop CS5.
