A shadow haunts the sunny streets of Venice Beach, working his way through all the women and valuables he can handle. So far he's been lucky. But too much of a good thing makes a man careless; he gets sloppy, he lets down his guard. From bizarre arrest to explosive conclusion, Freak is a wild rollercoaster of a ride, featuring impossible escapes, a dizzying manhunt, and a gothic mini-movie of a courtroom confession, wherein you'll meet the real Nicolas Vilenov, slippery opportunist and soulless predator, bogeyman of a thousand suppressed dreams.

I'm driving Mike nuts...so I went on a cleaning bender. He tried to talk me out of it...but anyone who knows me knows just what a stubborn pain in the arse I can be - so Mike was sweet enough to find me a crazy looking face mask so I wouldn't inhale the nasty fumes. In case you're wondering about the face mask...Mike's sister Leah bought it for him to use while we were in China. It's eco-friendly, with washable/reusable inserts. I think it makes me look like the transformer Optimus Prime. well, sort of. The rest of the ensemble makes me look like an axe murderer. I think I have a 'don't mess with me if you know what's go for you look', hehe Anyone out there want to take me on? ...and still haven't had the baby yet. meh

Okay, okay.. So I'm not really a clean freak, but I can't stand dirt and dust. I spent two and a half hours cleaning. A lot of dust and a lot of Pledge cleaner later, my room is mostly done. All I have to do is vacuum. *P.S; I realize this photo isn't perfectly centered..

Freaks: A Rizzoli & Isles Short Story
In this free Rizzoli & Isles short story from New York Times bestselling author Tess Gerritsen, author of The Silent Girl, a bizarre death comes with a supernatural twist. Homicide cop Jane Rizzoli and medical examiner Maura Isles have seen their fair share of mortal crimes, but the death of Kimberly Rayner may qualify as inhuman in more ways than one. When corpse of the emaciated seventeen-year-old girl is discovered next to an empty coffin in an abandoned church, mysterious bruises around the throat suggest foul play. Caught fleeing the scene is the victim’s closest friend, Lucas Henry, an equally skeletal, pale teenager who claims he’s guilty only of having a taste for blood—a craving he shared with Kimberly. But the victim’s distraught father doesn’t believe in vampires, only vengeance. And now, another life may be at risk unless Rizzoli and Isles can uncover the astonishing truth. Includes a special preview of Tess Gerritsen’s new Rizzoli & Isles novel, The Silent Girl, on sale July 5. And don’t miss the season premiere of TNT’s hit series Rizzoli & Isles on July 11
