Have a Seat
Have a Seat
One end of my Guest House Living room. I have Purple pillows for Christmas, and Red for Fall and Valentines just like these green velvet and silk ones for Spring. Tapestry is a family heirloom my Grandmother brought over from Europe with her. Tables from my wedding anniversary to my husband (well really me but let's pretend!) Sofa is one that my parents gave me (FREE!) and my Aunt who used to own the most amazing fabric store gifted me the silk to recover it with. Wall Vases and Lamps are Waterford. I made the silk chocolate shades and gold leafed the picture frame. I also made all the brown diamond pattern pillows. The large ones with floral detail are Versace. The Velvet are by Nina Campbell. Shelves are from Sothebys. My tricks and tips: SCOTCHGUARD!!!!!! I do this two times a year and have NEVER had an issue with anyone or anything getting stuff on the couch. It literally "flicks" off. PILLOWS, the more the merrier. Have an item that you don't want tampered with such as your kids all over your pretty room? Add too many pillows they can't get on. I have an antique screen I stash them behind for parties and visitors. RUGS add them to any carpeted area, especially high traffic for less wear and tear. They also really warm up a room!
