Planetree Inn
Planetree Inn
In the mid-nineties, the Planetree Inn was a gold mine with a waiting list of licensees wishing to take it over. However depopulation of the Cob Wall area has forced this former Thwaites Inn on Whalley Old Road to close. Thwaites still had this pub on its website until I reported the matter to them. Since then, the etched glass windows have been removed and replaced by upvc units with shutters over them.
