  • Printed music, as opposed to performed or recorded music
  • Sheet Music is the second album by Manchester rock band 10cc. It was released in 1974 and yielded the hit singles "The Wall Street Shuffle" and "Silly Love". The album reached No.9 in the UK and No.81 in the United States.
  • Music published in single or interleaved sheets, not bound
  • Sheet music is a hand-written or printed form of musical notation; like its analogs—books, pamphlets, etc.—the medium of sheet music typically is paper (or, in earlier times, parchment), although the access to musical notation in recent years includes also presentation on computer screens.
  • a musical composition in printed or written form; "she turned the pages of the music as he played"
  • A passage marked to be performed softly
  • a keyboard instrument that is played by depressing keys that cause hammers to strike tuned strings and produce sounds
  • used as a direction in music; to be played relatively softly
  • used chiefly as a direction or description in music; "the piano passages in the composition"
  • not hurried or forced; "an easy walk around the block"; "at a leisurely (or easygoing) pace"
  • easily: with ease (`easy' is sometimes used informally for `easily'); "she was easily excited"; "was easily confused"; "he won easily"; "this china breaks very easily"; "success came too easy"
  • Be careful
  • posing no difficulty; requiring little effort; "an easy job"; "an easy problem"; "an easy victory"; "the house is easy to heat"; "satisfied with easy answers"; "took the easy way out of his dilemma"

Our theme for this service was "The Path". A lot of us are searching for a calling, direction, or sense of purpose. However, we wanted to avoid the whole "follow these five easy steps to Jesus and a life of health, wealth, and happiness. We wanted to give a sense of place for the searching for the path, a recognition that it's not usually a linear, clear-route of life from start to finish, but usually involves all sorts of twists and turns and opportunities that arise that we never expected. We wanted to let people know that this is a place where you can search for your path, without being judged for your searching or journey so far. Here's another idea that mutated at the time of set-up. Originally, the wood frame with the white sheet was supposed to go in front of the piano and music area, and the image would be projected from the front, with the musician behind, seeing only his shadow. However, when we set it up, you couldn't see the musician through the screen, so we shifted it around and put the sheet behind, and the musician played with the video loop of the three roads moving projected onto him. At first I thought is was too wierd, but we tried it, and it looked really cool.

James built a ramp to move this thing and it made it pretty easy actually (easy for the person who wasn't really helping anyways.) We got it for 25 dollars off Craigslist, and then the guy made me give him another 15 dollars for the bench, which I was going to put up a fight about until he opened it and I saw the sheet music for "My Heart Will Go On" and I NEEDED it.
