Day 165 of the 365 Journey. I KNOOOOOOOOOOOOW that I’m not the only person out there that get’s these cravings! You know the ones where NOTHING else will satisfy the mouth watering? The cravings that will force you to get back into your street clothes at 10:30 in the evening just to drive 2 miles to the grocery store for a Snickers or Hershey’s bar? Yea, you know which cravings I’m talking about! The one you have right before going to bed when you start getting the munchies, and you figure all I need is a little something to sleep and I’ll be fine.….right?! Ever try to eat a piece of fruit, or drink some water until you’re full? Yea that crap just doesn’t work! The only thing that soothes that craving is CHOCOLATE. What the hell s in that stuff! Whatever it is, they should put it into things like vegetables and fruit and other things that are healthy for you! Did you know they make little “bite” size pieces of chocolate with like 300 calories in EACH piece. OMG, that’s insane! Oh don’t get me wrong…..I’ll eat em’, I’ll just think about the calories as I enjoy the creamy chocolate sensational pieces of bliss! "Tommy Still Sick" The only reason I went in to work, is because Troy, my daytime guy, was off to KC to get his daughter moved in to her dorm at the Art Institute of KC. By the time I got there, I knew it might have been a mistake. Having used up any energy I posessed, to shower, dress and ride the bus, I found myself napping on a couch in the Red Room. Luckily it was a very slow day, so as soon as Gene arrived, I was headed home. Back to bed, the usual chills and sweats, but I only slept from 3:00 to 6:00. And I actually did feel like eating something at dinner, although I don't know if 300 calories is enough to sustain a sick person. But it was about all I could handle. It is now 10:45 and I am not back in bed yet. Perhaps I am getting a bit better? Regardless, tomorrow I will call in sick for the first time in......like six years?! No need to push it.
