Well it's my second day back at the gym after a 1 month hiatus and boy, am I feeling it. Still manage to hit my goal of 600 calories on the treadmill in 45 minutes, but when I get there I'm a bit more winded than I remember. This has been an important lesson and I imagine I will need to add a regular weekly gym routine for the rest of my life if for no other reason that maintenance. Also, you may or may not remember my elevator adventure back on day 164, but the apartment is still fixing them. So as usual I end up waiting a long time for the elevator and hanging out with a number of my neighbors I would not otherwise see. Well, because of where I park, I get on the elevator on the 2nd floor. While waiting I looked in the mirror and noticed that I was sweating pretty bad still. When the doors opened I got on and saw that there were already about 6 or 7 people on it. I pushed the 13th floor button and we started to go up. The first stop was on the 5th floor and everyone got off. At first I did not notice any thing strange. But then the elevator stopped on the 6th, the 9th and the 10th floor. No one got on and there was no one to get off. I have formed on two possible conclusions: a, people got tired of waiting on the higher floors and took the stairs, or b: my Gym smell was so bad my neighbors would rather wait for the slowest elevator than continue up with me.

So I think my initial weight (225lb on Christmas Day) may have been off (I was clothed that time but this time just in my skivvies), but I'm taking it! WooHoo! I have gotten into the routine of working out every AM, burning 500-600 calories. I've also started using the LoseIt app, keeping track of my caloric intake. It's a bit tedious (the app) but we'll see how this goes. I may hit my target long before my goal date, and that'd be great! Yay!
