DODGE FREIGHTLINER SPRINTER TURBO RESONATOR ELIMINATOR
NEW TURBO RESONATOR ELIMINATOR. This replacement resonator fits 2004 & 2006 Dodge, Mercedes Benz and Freightliner Sprinter, equipped with 2.7L diesel engine. NEVER BE LEFT STRANDED EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!! This new CNC machined billet aluminum Eliminator is designed to last the life of the vehicle in a hot, high pressure and vibration rich environment, giving you the peace of mind to take your Sprinter anywhere without worry about a turbo resonator failure. You bought your Sprinter because it was and is the very best chassis in the world for your needs. Now you can make it even better! FAQs Frequently Asked Questions Q. What is a turbo resonator? A. It is a device used on the 2.7 liter Mercedes Benz turbo diesel engine to slightly lessen the intake whine of the turbocharger. Q. What exactly is this turbo resonator failure problem I have been hearing about on the Sprinter and Freightliner van chassis? A. A typical turbo resonator failure happens under a period of maximum boost either climbing a hill or accelerating off a stop light with a load in the vehicle. The resonator is made up of injection molded plastic parts which are bonded together. The failure results from the parts separating from each other and allowing turbo boost air to escape from the intake system. Q. What happens when the Sprinter turbo resonator fails? A. The boost sensor sends a low pressure signal to the engine's computer which thinks there has been a catastrophic failure of the turbo. The vehicle immediately goes into "limp home" mode which results in a nearly total loss of ability to climb hills and a top speed on flat ground of about 35 to 40 mph. This usually results in having the vehicle towed in for repair. In addition, the check engine light comes on. If our Eliminator is installed after a failure, the check engine light should go off after a few starting cycles.
Lancer EX 2.0 GT [ HDR ]
Enjoying my new car... The Lancer EX 2.0 GT 6CVT is a cruiser rather than a sprinter. Dun expect super fast acceleration at the traffic lights (although some YouTube videos show it doing 0-100km/h in 9 seconds). The CVT is great if you like a real quiet and smooth ride. It's tall final gearing coupled with the reasonably torquey engine can have you cruising silently above the speed limit on expressways at < 2K rpm. The engine note between 2000-2500 rpm is quite uninspiring and can be sometimes annoying. Reason is that it sounds (and vibrates) like a cow! However, things gets much better when the rpms hit 3000 and above. The max torque comes on around 4000 rpm. Switch over to the 6-speed sports mode and keep the revs up if you want to have some fun. The interior is spacious and modern. There are 2 choices of interior, the "black" and the "beige" which is actually a two-tone combination of black and orange leather. Personally I prefer the "black". Overall, the Lancer EX 2.0 GT 6CVT comes in a very well appointed package: 1. Aggressive bodykit with large spoiler and 18" rims. 2. Auto headlights 3. Auto wipers 4. HID headlights 5. Adaptive Front Lighting (lights shine in the direction of turning) 6. Rockford Fosgate 9-speaker sound system with AUX input for MP3 player 7. Steering wheel audio control 8. Steering wheel cruise control 9. Keyless entry and ignition 10. Trip/FC display meter 11. Sport seats 12. Generous amount of leather (including door panels, gearknob and steering wheel) 13. Bluetooth handsfree speaker kit 14. Rikecool Solar Film (ask your sales agent!) 15. Steering wheel paddle shifters (6-speed CVT) 16. Chrome exhaust tip 17. Chilled glove box
Toyota Corolla AE86 Trueno
One of the most popular Lego cars on Brickshelf, the AE86 derivatives of the 5th Generation Toyota Corolla are an enduring favourite. Although commonly refered to by the numeric variant code AE86, the cars were badged variously as Corollas, Sprinters Levin and Truenos during production. Truenos are commonly identified by their retractable headlight noses, whilts Levins and Sprinters are more closely aligned visually with the concurrent front-wheel-drive 5th generation Corolla hatchbacks and sedans. One common reason for the enduring popularity of these compact cars was that they were one of the last cars in their class (C-segment small cars) to retain rear-wheel-drive. Coupled with the strong 4-cylinder engines, particularly the 4AGE, shared with the Toyota MR2 sports car. These cars are now regaining popularity in the fringe motorsport of 'Drifting'. Illustrated here is a white standard Levin liftback, many cars were delivered trimmed in this way. The blue car is a modified Levin, lowered suspension and flared wheel-arches. The red car is a Trueno with th retractable head lamps. These Lego cars have been modelled in Lego Digital Designer for Flickr LUGNuts 35th build challenge - Big in Japan, celebrating cars, bikes and trucks from Japanese auto manufacturers.
