Dear Parents/Guardians,

My name is  Jacob Tourigny and I am excited to be your child's science teacher for the upcoming school year. Your children and I share one thing in common as this is both of our first years at Simsbury High School. For the past 7 years I have taught science at Staples High School in Westport, CT. In my classroom I strive to make an environment where students are challenged to engage their knowledge and skills in order to comprehend real-world science phenomena. Simultaneously I want my students to grow as individuals and learn that each and every one of them has abilities and makes a difference to those around them.
