Thank you for using Cogni. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use our Chrome Extension.
1. Information We Collect
We believe in data minimization. We only collect the information absolutely necessary for the extension to function:
Email Address: If you upgrade to Cogni Pro, we securely request your Google Profile email address using Chrome's built-in Identity API to link your subscription to your account.
Browsing Activity: The extension monitors the URLs of websites you visit locally on your device to enforce your configured "Focus Ghost" blocklists and "Deep Work" sessions. This browsing data is processed entirely locally on your device and is NEVER transmitted to our servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
To verify your "Pro" subscription status.
To enforce site-blocking and focus features locally on your machine.
3. Data Storage & Security
Your subscription status and email are securely stored using Supabase (our backend provider). We use industry-standard encryption and security practices. Your custom blocklists and application state are stored locally in your browser's Chrome Storage.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
Stripe: For securely processing payments. We do not store your credit card details.
Supabase: For securely storing your Pro subscription status.
OpenAI: If you use the audio transcription feature, your audio files and API Key are sent directly to OpenAI. We do not intercept or store this data.
5. Your Rights
You can uninstall the extension at any time to remove all local data. If you wish to permanently delete your email and subscription record from our database, please contact support.
6. Contact Us
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us via the Chrome Web Store support tab.
