What is a Hackathon?
"Hacking" doesn't necessarily mean what it does in the movies. To hack is to code anything. During our 24-hour event, hackers (you) will be working on mobile/web apps, games, hardware, or anything else tech-related. There will be workshops and a panel for participants to attend, as well as programming and for-fun contests. This is also chance to meet students with similar passions from all over.
Do I need to know how to code?
Nope! We will have workshops to guide participants in building an app from the ground up. Additionally, mentors will be available 24/7 to answer any technical questions you may have.
It's important to note that your hack doesn't have to be perfect. Your submission will be judged on factors such as presentation and creativity as well.
How do teams work?
Hackers can choose to compete on their own or in a team. The (soft) maximum for a team is 4 people. You can reach out to other participants to form a team ahead of time, or you can join our Team Forming channel to find others once the Hackathon starts.
