Join the CSI Program
Any Royal student currently in grades 9-12 that can meet the overall requirements of this program and complete a successful service project can join. There are a few simple steps that must be completed to become a part of our program and to begin the school year-long journey to earning this seal and making a difference for others.
Steps to Join the Royal CSI Program
Attend the fall Kickoff Informational Meeting - In late September or early October each year, this meeting is held (traditionally at The Reagan Library) to help you learn about the program, start to generate your potential project idea, and to get some important feedback. Email, The Royal Decree digital newsletter, and social media posts each fall will let you know when this is scheduled to take place. If you are unable to attend the meeting, email the CSI Advisory Team for information on how join this year's cohort. The Kickoff is an important, very highly recommended (quasi-mandatory) way to get ready for this year's program. Every effort should be made to attend. Students will submit their initial interest/project ideas at this meeting.
Students complete the CSI PROJECT PROPOSAL (sent to them via email) and submit for approval
Projects may be completed by an individual student or a small group (no more than 3-4 members max)
If a group project, students will determine one "point person" to submit all documents and be the main contact
Students designate and secure an adult mentor (the CSI Advisory Team can help with this!)
Students are granted approval OR asked to meet with a CSI Advisory Team member to refine their idea just a bit more
Once students' are granted approval for their projects they are officially participants in that year's CSI Program. They will then be given access to CSI Program's official Remind app and Google Classroom for all communication and tasks for the year.
