Concert Band: (Grades 7-8) Valley View's advanced band for students with at least a year's worth of experience on woodwind, brass, or percussion instruments.

Concert Strings: (Grades 7-8) Valley View's advanced string orchestra for students with at least a year's worth of experience on violin, viola, cello, or string bass.

Beginning Band: (Grades 6-7) Entry level band program for any students who want to learn instruments like flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, tuba, various percussive instruments, and more. No prior musical experience needed.

Beginning Strings: (Grades 6-7) Entry level strings program for any student who wants to learn violin, viola, cello, or string bass. No prior musical experience needed.

Meet Ms. Aoyama

Ms. Aoyama is in her eighth year of teaching music. After graduating from UCLA in 2017 with a B.A. in Music Education, she worked in Bakersfield, California as an orchestra director for four years. Ms. Aoyama picked up the flute in middle school and fell in love with music! She is extremely excited to work with the students at Valley View Middle School so that her students could love music as much as she does. She currently pursues her Master's Degree in Music Education at American Band College through Central Washington University.
