Early College

Early College Options

SRCS offers a dual credit or Early College option for high school students that are at least 16 years old. Students may enroll with SRCS and a community college to earn both high school and college credits simultaneously. SRCS will pay up to $1300 each term for fall, winter and spring classes. SRCS will also offer a book allowance of $150 per term. Summer college classes are not paid for by SRCS. The goal of this program is to allow high school students to work toward an associates degree while still working toward earning their high school diploma.

There is a process (including taking a placement test at a community college) to enter this program. Interested students will need to contact Jamie Siegner at 541-589-2402. There are online and on campus options available from various community colleges. Classes must be approved by SRCS.

Here are some quick links to some of the programs available. If you don’t see a community college that you are interested in, please let us know.

It is important to note classes fill up quickly. Our students may not always get admitted into the classes they request due to spaces filling up quickly. The sooner you begin the process, the more apt you are to get the classes you desire.
