ICB will inform the publisher (Oxford University Press) and the SICB executive officers about suspected cases of serious misconduct to seek guidance
Next steps:
The editor will inform the publisher (Oxford University Press) and SICB (president; executive director); ICB will respect the complainant’s preference for anonymity if requested
The concerns will be assessed to determine their validity and seriousness, and then investigated if appropriate, according to COPE guidance and the publisher’s process
If the outcome of the investigation includes a correction or retraction, this information will be communicated to the person who raised the concerns.
