Spring History Projects (Grade 7)
Medieval Fandango Puppets
PreColumbian Americas Board Games
PreColumbian Americas ABC Books
Purpose: Projects allow students to make deeper connections and demonstrate their understanding in a creative and engaging way.
The Medieval Fandango Project allows students to do a deep research dive into a notable person from Medieval Europe. The project includes crafting a paper-bag puppet to represent the person, as well as a researched biography and class presentation.
The PreColumbian Americas Project gives students the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of cultures living in North, Central, and South America before and immediately after the arrival of Europeans to these lands. Students may choose to craft an ABC Book, develop a board game, design a soundtrack/playlist, or build a 3-D model of Tenochtitlan.
