“Kids these days!” Do you know what that is, that's the beagle times slogan and this article is all about slogans.
In this article I will tell you companies' slogans, the history behind them, and interview people to see what they think of them. I chose slogans I haven't really heard of before.
Do you know what a slogan is? A slogan is that little jingle that shows up in places like commercials or billboards.
It is usually short like McDonalds “I'm lovin it” or it can be longer like M&M’s “Melts in your mouth not your hand."
Question? What do you think Crayola's slogan is? Take a guess before continuing to read.
There are many Crayola slogans but this is the one I chose to write about, “Everything imaginable”.
I was a bit surprised when I saw this as it came up on my search results. but then I realized this makes sense. Because when you’re drawing you can really draw anything imaginable on your paper or other surface that you are supposed to draw on.
The slogan was invented in 2020, but the company was founded in 1903. That’s over a hundred years in difference from when the company was founded in 1903 to when the modern slogan was released in 2020.
The decision was made to represent the diverse group of children and adults that use their products. A fifth grader named Cooper said, “I think it represents the fact that you can draw anything with Crayola so that is smart on Crayola's part.”
Next a fifth grader named Tala: ”So when Evelyn asked me to guess what crayon's slogan was I thought about it and said color your dreams. I was surprised it was everything imaginable because color your dreams just is better than everything imaginable because in your dreams you imagine stuff but you need to color them also. And you need to bring joy and you can bring joy by coloring so I think that should be Crayola's slogan”
Next we will talk about Oreos' slogan. Oreos slogan is “oh oh oreo”.
This slogan was released in 1950 and is still used by the company today. Oh oh oreo was Oreo's first slogan and jingle.
This slogan isn’t that creative but I like it anyway. It is short and sweet. It's also simple and has the brand name in it so that you know whose slogan it is. I have also never personally seen this slogan ever. So I don’t know if I just don’t pay attention to slogans or if they don't appear often. Time for the interviews.
Liyah: "I think it's interesting because I don’t know why it’s oh oh oreo. They are literally the most popular cookie brand and their slogan is oh oh oreo! Try again, Oreo."
Next Amazon's slogan.
I honestly have no idea where this slogan would appear. Like I have never seen it before.
Amazon’s slogan is, “Work hard, have fun and make history.”
Did you think you were just reading Lake Bluff's slogan? Because I did too.
I'm going to be honest, I hate this slogan. I mean how do you make history with Amazon. Buying historical items? Like what. It just makes no sense.
Maddie, a fifth grader says, "It kinda is bad. I don't like it. “It should be The Bazosness because he owns the company.”
Next Grace says, "I guess that Amazon's slogan is we get you things for cheap. I think the real slogan is horrible. It's just a package being delivered to your house you don’t need to work hard, have fun and make history.
All in all we looked at 3 slogans. Everything imaginable, oh oh oreo and work hard, have fun and make history. I hope you enjoyed this article and have a good day <3 (:
