by JJ and Zora
My name is JJ And my name is Zora. This month we took on the task of interviewing Ms. AOK about her second year at Lake Bluff and we took the time to make it into a Beagle Times article. You are going to see more of interviewing Lake Bluff staff on their years at Lake Bluff. We hope you enjoy!
What would a normal day as the Lake Bluff principal be like?
Ms AOK: There is no normal day because she has to adapt based on what the school needs like supporting students and subbing, also when she has meetings.
What did she expect to happen during her second year?
Ms. AOK: She expected a lot of student leadership and student voice and advocacy during her second year. Also she said with the ambassadors she said that she has seen lots of student growth and during the crews she has seen lots of leadership and development, a bit more than last year. Because the ambassadors have gotten more mature and know what to do.
What do you think Lake Bluff has gotten better at as a crew?
Ms AOK: she thinks we have gotten better at showing leadership and respect to all school crew and that every crew is growing their park values.
So what are your expectations for the next school crew?
She said it's really hard to be on stage for some kids so we want to create a supportive environment for them to know that this is a safe place and no one will judge you. Also she wants us to be quiet and calm while exiting, Just because it makes it hard for certain learners to listen and to know what to do so it needs to be quiet.
