Would you rather!
📖 Read a book or watch a movie! 📺

Hi I am Tala, today I am going to ask people a question. The question is would you rather watch a movie or read a book. Let's go.
I would read a book because there are more book options than movies. Did you know that half a million to a million children books are published each year in the USA? But there are less than 1,000 movies. Also as you are reading a little movie is playing in your head. It is also healthy because it does not need a screen.
Cooper in Mr. Peterka’s class says movies because in books it is more work and you can easily lose yourself in it “compared to movies where you can relax and it is harder to get confused.”
Lila in Mr. Peterka’s class says, "Movies because I don't enjoy reading certain books, and movies I enjoy more than reading because it’s not complicated to understand.”
Evelyn in Mr. Peterka's class says, “I would rather read because when you're reading anything can be possible and I can just read for hours and hours without getting bored but I really can't go for more than like 30 minutes with a movie.” She also said that she needs subtitles when she is watching a movie which is also reading so she is always reading either way.
Daliyah in Mr. Peterka’s class says, “I would rather watch a movie because sometimes you can have movie nights with your family or friends and when you read, it kind of gets boring so yeah that's why I think I like watching movies.”
Let's see what is the same or different between watching a movie or reading a book. This is what is different: you have to imagine a book while you just watch a movie and you don’t get in trouble for reading too many books while you get in trouble for watching a movie. What is the same is that there are fiction movies and books and there are nonfiction movies and books.
The next time you read a book and there is a movie, watch it and see what is different and what is the same about it. Like the characters, setting, and how old they are. Thank you for reading my article and have a good day!Â
