Today we will be comparing and contrasting dogs and cats! This is a common argument topic in the classes of Lake Bluff.
Let's start with the pros of cats. They have retractible claws, they always land on their feet, every cat is born with blue eyes but as they get older their eyes change color, and they are very good at balancing.
Now we will move on to the pros of dogs. Dogs go outside, dogs go swimming, dogs are always happy to see you, dogs can be energetic but also want to lay around.
Now we will move on to the cons of cats. They sometimes like to scratch you if they don’t like what you’re doing, they don’t like everyone, just people they already know. Most don’t go outside so they don’t get dirty, they don't swim, you have to change their litter.
Now we will move on to the cons of dogs. They have to go outside to go to the bathroom, puppies have sharp teeth, and dogs can get some ticks if you go in the forest but that is unlikely.
A pro for both cats and dogs is that they're both great pets!
We took a vote of 5k-3rd grade and dogs got 143 votes. cats got 84 votes. The final winner is… dogs!!!
