The Monster Project encourages the development of reading and writing skills while integrating technology into the classroom. Using monsters as a vehicle, students exchange written descriptions and then recreate their partner's monster without ever looking at the "real thing". During the project, students create, discuss, describe, interpret, analyze, organize and assess their monsters as well as the monsters of their peers.

My monster is named Pink a Doodle. She has a body that looks like a pink triangle with a medium red heart inside the body. My monster has two purple legs with 3 pink toes on each leg. My monster has a little purple dot for a nose. My monster has two skinny red lines on top of her head for antennae. Each one has a purple dot at the top. The left one is bigger than the other one. My monster has a pink frog shaped head with 2 white dots and black inside for the eyes. My monster has a skinny black mouth with a red tongue sticking out. My monster has 2 fat pink arms with 3 fat pink fingers on each arm.
