With the "Target" program:
Additional assistance was offered to identified students only.
Only staff funded by Title I dollars could work with identified students.
Materials purchased with Title I dollars could only be used by Title I teachers and identified students.
With the "School-Wide program:
More flexible use of existing Title I dollars to improve achievement for all students.
Materials purchase with Title I dollars can be used by all staff and all students.
All paraprofessionals meet highly-qualified criteria.
Title I dollars can now be used to provide continuous learning for staff, students, and the community.
How is Title I funded & how are the funds distributed?
Title I is a federally funded program that is now used to support ALL teachers and ALL students. Previously, Title I funds could only be used by qualified Title I teachers and distributed to qualified students.
Can parents get involved?
Absolutely! ALL parents have the opportunity to share their thoughts when filling out the Title I Spring Survey. Previously, only parents of qualified students were surveyed on their experience.
