Why is it important to build and maintain relationships with the families of the students that you teach? What are some ways that you can build and maintain positive relationships?  

When we think about the social and academic development of children, both educators and families play integral and overlapping roles. When families and schools work together to help children grow in these areas, they are more likely to be successful.
