My name is Nicole Naro, and I currently work at Oak Mountain Intermediate School as a fourth and fifth grade gifted education specialist. I have just completed my 9th year in this position; prior to this, I worked in Alabaster City Schools as a gifted education specialist and in Shelby County and Mobile City Schools as a fourth grade classroom teacher. I'm looking forward to starting my 18th year of teaching in August. 

I graduated with my undergraduate and master's degree in Elementary Education from The University of Alabama. Later I went on to receive my gifted certification from Samford University. Most recently I attended the University of Montevallo where I finished with my administration certificate and an E.Ds. in Instructional Technology. I have also completed and passed my National Board for Professional Teaching Standards certification. 

Supporting me through all of my adventures while also teaching me new things daily, are my husband, Josh, and two kiddos, Noah and Ava Grace. Both of my children attend Shelby County Schools. We live in Birmingham, AL, and enjoy spending time outside in the garden, hiking, or at the beach.
