Melanie Thomas is the GRC teacher at Calera Middle.  Entering her 8th year with Shelby County and her 17th year of teaching, she loves to collaborate and to engage with her peers to plan purposeful and intentional instruction.  A graduate of Auburn University, Samford University, and the University of Alabama, she has devoted her time to gaining insights on how to help her students succeed.  She resides in Helena with her husband, son, and their pets.
