Ashli Polizos has been an educator for the past 16 years, all in Shelby County Schools. She currently serves as an assistant principal at Oak Mountain High School. Before moving into the role of administrator, Ashli served as a social studies teacher at both the middle school and high school levels. As a National Board certified teacher (renewed 2021), Ashli has worked with teachers, education leaders, and policy-makers from across our state to advocate for elevating the teaching profession and increasing support for education in Alabama. She holds a bachelor's degree in public relations from the University of Alabama, a master's degree in education from the University of Alabama-Birmingham, an instructional leadership certificate from the University of Montevallo, and an education specialist degree from the University of West Alabama. She is mom to three current Shelby County Schools students, wife to a Shelby County small business owner, and has a passion for lifelong learning, British royal history, and coffee.
