Welcome Week

You are asked to attend our welcome meeting on Monday 18th September at 2pm in the Diamond Lecture Theatre 2. This meeting will introduce you to some key SEAS staff members.

There will be a repeat session at 4pm in Diamond Lecture Theatre 9 for dual degree students who may have two meetings to attend on this day. 

Each area degree programme will have a meeting immediately after the School welcome meeting, in various locations in The Diamond. This meeting will go into more detail about the specific subject that you have chosen to study.

 If you are a dual student who needs to attend a meeting in another department at the same time, please let us know. 

These sessions will take place on Wednesday 20th September at 1pm, in various locations in 38 Mappin Street. Here you will meet, as a group, with your Academic Tutor who will be a primary contact point for Level 1 of your studies.

All new students at the University of Sheffield are give training to help them navigate issues around two important areas - race, racism and race inequality in the UK; and sexual consent - what to look out for, how to keep yourself and others safe, and how to be an effective ally. SEAS students will attend a meeting on Wednesday 20th September at 10am in Henry Stephenson Building Lecture Theatre 1  

An introduction to your language studies will happen on Thursday 21st September, in various locations in The Diamond. 

If you are a dual student who needs to attend a meeting in another department at the same time, please let us know. 

We'll hold an end of Welcome Week social event for you to get to know fellow students and staff members. This will happen on Friday 22nd September, 38 Mappin Street workroom 2, 4-6pm.
