In February 2025, we participated in a workshop about communicating our project. We wanted to make it easier for you and everyone else to be aware, access, and understand what we are doing and how it can alleviate crowding in hospitals and A&E.
Led by Research Retold, the session emphasized integrating communication throughout the project lifecycle, rather than treating it as a final dissemination step. Key discussions included strategies for ongoing engagement with target audiences like policymakers and healthcare professionals, addressing potential communication barriers, and establishing clear communication timelines. We also explored challenges such as time constraints and identifying key messages.
The workshop highlighted the teams’ diverse communication strengths and outlined the next steps, including clarifying key concepts, exploring potential research outcomes, and creating a central information hub. We are using our project website as our central information hub where you can get project updates and learn what the project is about. We hope that this proactive approach to communications will foster stronger relationships with stakeholders and maximize the impact of our research findings on NHS policy and patient care.
You can stay informed about the project by signing up to our quarterly bulletin.
Toward the end of the project, we will meet with Research Retold again to finalise the post-project communications strategy and to reflect on our communications progress.
But in the meantime, we'll be implementing the plans that we have. So, all going well, you'll hear more about the project, soon.
