The Safety Officer within the School of Psychology is Sharon Keighley (s.keighley@sheffield.ac.uk)
Details of the qualified First Aiders for the Psychology Building (ICOSS) are provided on signs posted around the building. Ask the persons named, or at the ground floor Admin Office (ICOSS Building), if you need anything from the First Aid Box.
The University’s Health and Safety Policy requires that all First Aid treatments as well as all incidents, accidents, dangerous occurrences and ‘near misses’ should be reported within 24 hours using the online form at: www.sheffield.ac.uk/hs/accident.
It would be helpful if any accidents or injuries could also be reported to the Psychology Safety Officer (s.keighley@sheffield.ac.uk) or the Head of School (psy-hos@sheffield.ac.uk).
If you are in the Psychology Building when the alarm sounds you must leave the building at once by the nearest exit. You should then make your way to the assembly point, which is St George's Churchyard.
Do not congregate outside the Psychology Building.
If you discover a fire, break the glass in a red fire alarm point to sound the fire alarm, or telephone:
4444 on an internal telephone.
(0114) 222 4444 from a mobile phone
Testing of the fire alarm will take place in the Psychology building at 10.45 am on Mondays. You do not need to vacate the building at this time unless the alarm sounds continuously for longer than approximately 30 seconds.

Please note that students are likely to use lots of buildings around campus - it is a student's responsibility to familiarise themselves with building-specific fire safety and first aid.
