This research project aims to develop a clinical tool to assist with cough and secretion management for individuals living with Motor Neuron Disease (MND)
Through consultations with healthcare professionals, people living with MND and their caregivers, we have identified the key needs and preferences for the tool. The next phase involves co-designing the tool based on this feedback. Following its development, the tool will be trialled in clinical practice across the UK with the goal of improving the management of these issues and enhancing patient care. We are looking for people living with MND, their caregivers and healthcare professionals involved in MND care to participate in these co-design workshops to help shape the future of cough and secretion care in MND.
There will be 6 co-design workshops of approximately 1 hour online over 6 months. Participants are able to participate in as many workshops as they feel able in whatever way they feel able and alternative strategies for participation will be offered. Participants will be expected to share their thoughts and ideas on tool ideas suggested.
