It feels urgent to consider how events of the last year have shaped and reshaped our notions of what it means to belong. Whilst Brexit still resonates in the wider zeitgeist and the insular and communal ramifications of the pandemic have affected us all in different ways, it feels right half way through the year of 2021 to reflect and assess the conditions of our own communities.
This conference aims to provide a platform to speakers and participants to discuss global, ecological, cultural, socioeconomic, queer and other experiences of the individual and communities through a combination of interdisciplinary responses, including personal essays and academic, creative, and experimental presentations.
