During our time together today, we will be looking at using our NWEA data to differentiate instruction in ELA and MTH. In addition, non-ELA/MTH teachers can use the NWEA data to gain insight into the reading level of their students. This information can assist all teachers in selecting texts written at students' independent reading level. For ELA and MTH teachers, the information can assist them in planning next steps and interventions.
In addition to looking at NWEA, we will spend a little bit of time exploring sites and tools to assist teachers in...
...finding additional text resources.
...using the native features of Google Classroom to assist in differentiation.
...converting paper/pencil worksheets into digital formats (using Kami).
Teachers will be given work time during this session to explore the sites/tools presented.
