About the Italy Center
During the Fall, Spring, and Summer academic terms, we welcome students from Spring Hill College and a diverse range of partner institutions across the United States for full-time study, internships, and service-learning opportunities (come back and study with us!).
Our mission revolves around three core themes:
Social Justice
At the heart of our Center is a commitment to understanding our role in fostering a more just and equitable society. While each faculty-led program may have its own focus, we encourage you to reflect on how your identity as an individual, your role as a visitor, and your place in a globalized world influence the communities you engage with.
Immersion
Immersion can occur in both short-term and long-term programs. As you plan your time here, we invite you to prioritize depth over duration. Ask yourself, "How deeply can I truly connect with Bologna?"
Travel
Bologna is well-connected to major Italian cities and European airports. When organizing travel for groups, we advocate for sustainable travel options that minimize our environmental impact wherever possible. We strongly encourage you to consider your travel choices carefully should you decide to explore during your program.
