This year, the theme of our powwow is Honouring Our Land and Water. This theme reflects our deep respect for the natural world and acknowledges the growing challenges our environment is facing. From the forests to the rivers, the land and water have always sustained us — physically, spiritually, and culturally. As stewards of this land, we recognize the harmful impacts that pollution, development, and climate change have caused, and we come together in ceremony to raise awareness and show gratitude.
We depend on Mother Earth for everything — our food, our medicine, our traditions, and our future. Through this powwow, we offer our thanks, we share teachings, and we commit to protecting the sacred gifts she provides for the next seven generations.
