Program overview
Sharing Blessings to Others' STEM program goes beyond traditional science and technology education, fostering creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on learning in a dynamic environment.
The program features a dedicated learning space where students engage with STEM concepts through art projects, puzzles, and cube-solving activities, helping them develop critical thinking and spatial reasoning skills. Interactive games are integrated to make learning engaging, encouraging students to explore concepts in science, engineering, and mathematics through play.
A small library offers a collection of STEM-related books to encourage reading, research, and independent exploration. The program also incorporates collaborative learning platforms, allowing students to work together on projects, share ideas, and receive mentorship from educators and professionals.
Additionally, a small computer lab provides students with opportunities to learn basic computer skills, digital literacy, and coding fundamentals, ensuring they are prepared for a technology-driven future. By combining creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, and digital learning, the STEM program equips students with the knowledge and confidence to succeed in STEM fields and beyond.
About me
My name is Senat Wilguens, and I am the coordinator of Sharing Blessings to Others (SBO), leading STEM Corner as part of the program. I live in Cité Soleil, Port-au-Prince, Haiti, a community where poverty severely limits access to education and opportunity.
Through STEM Corner, I provide children with hands-on STEM education, equipping them with the skills needed to overcome hardship and build a better future. With expertise in computer science, mechanics, plumbing, and heavy machinery operation, I am committed to making education a pathway to success for my community.
I invite others to join this mission to bring hope, opportunity, and lasting change to Cité Soleil. Together, we can create a future where every child has the chance to thrive
