The 2026 SHARE Greece Family Education Conference will be held in Eritrea, Greece, and is open to all expatriates. This comprehensive conference will feature academic testing, dedicated programs for children and teens, and a variety of adult workshops. Attendees can explore new resources for educating children and receive individual consultations with educators and counselors who understand their unique needs. There are ample opportunities for rest, fellowship, and networking, making it an enriching experience for the entire family. The event aims to support the educational needs of expatriate families while fostering a sense of community and connection among participants.

Conference registration fees must be paid online as you register. If you have entered a sponsoring agency code, the amount of the discount or scholarship will be deducted automatically.
If you belong to a SHARE sponsoring agency, please ask your agency’s SHARE representative for your code in order to receive the sponsoring agency discount. If you are unsure whether your agency is a sponsor of SHARE Education Services or you do not know who your SHARE representative is, write to contact@shareeducation.org for that information or any other questions.
*If you do not apply your sponsoring agency's discount code during registration, SHARE can issue a refund for the discount amount at 70% of the original value to account for payment processing fees.
If your family needs financial assistance in order to be able to attend, please get in touch with us at contact@shareeducation.org. Give the name of your agency and request scholarship assistance toward registration fees. All registration scholarship requests must be submitted before completing registration. Additional scholarships are available only for families serving with evangelical non-profit agencies.
REFUND POLICY: A full registration refund may be requested by 15 September 2026. A registration half-refund may be granted after 15 September 2026. (Hotel refund policies are separate from the registration refund policy.)

Negroponte Resort Eretria is located on Euboea Island in a graphic coastal area 2,5km from the city of Eretria and its archaeological treasures, 19km from the city of Halkida, and just 100km from the International Airport Eleftherios Vezinelos in Athens. Negroponte was the Venetian name of Halkida.

Rates are full board (Greek Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner, buffet style) including 2 coffee breaks and all taxes (VAT 13% & 24% and community tax 0.5%).
Participants will pay directly to the hotel.
Additional charge: residence tax 4€/per room/per night.
If you choose to arrive early (before the 1st of November), a country imposed resilience tax of 15€/per room/per night will be required.
If a late check-out is requested, the hotel will do their best to satisfy the request.
Do not book your hotel rooms, please. SHARE will work in conjunction with you and the hotel to arrange housing for each family.

Coordinating transportation from the Athens International Airport to the Negroponte Resort for participants is complex and results in high costs, which we estimate to be $125/per person for round-trip transportation. Children under the age of 2 are free. SHARE will arrange a limited number of shuttle transfers at pre-established times from the airport (Sat/Sun for arrivals; Fri/Sat for departures); however, we encourage you to consider renting a car, as it may offer significant cost savings, particularly for those traveling together. The hotel offers plenty of free parking spaces on site. Please be aware there are toll expenses enroute to the hotel.
Below are some rental options. Please keep in mind that many available cars will have a standard transmission, and in some cases require diesel instead of gasoline.

SHARE Education Services is here to come alongside those educating their children in a cross-cultural environment with resources, encouragement, and solutions to specific education issues. There will be plenty of opportunities to interact with consultants and other families with years of experience in educating children of all ages in a cross-cultural context.
Our plenary speaker, Lauren Wells, is the Founder and CEO of TCK Training and author of Raising Up a Generation of Healthy Third Culture Kids, The Grief Tower, Unstacking Your Grief Tower, and What Made That Feel So Hard?: The Unstacking Method. She is an Adult TCK who spent her teenage years in Tanzania, East Africa. She sits on the board of the TCK Care Accreditation and is part of the TCK Training Research Team focused on preventive care practices in the TCK population. She lives in Georgia, USA, with her husband and two girls.

Our theme this year is Tuning Out to Tune In! We will make some lifelong memories during our SHARE week, so join us for laughter, learning, and plenty of hanging out.
Be sure to register early as the teen program fills up quickly. Once the program is full, we will maintain a waiting list in case of cancellations.
Note that the teen program starts on Sunday evening with an orientation for the week.

Calling SHARE children aged 0-12! Join us as we explore the theme of the human body. We will have five days of activities which will promote group skills in addition to academic knowledge. Art and physical education will round out a fun-filled week!
All children attending any SHARE-sponsored event must be accompanied by a registered parent or guardian who is physically present at the event.
Once classes are full, we maintain a waiting list in case of cancellations.

Don't miss out on the SHARE talent show open to all kids and teens in attendance at the SHARE conference. SHARE will provide a keyboard, microphone(s), music stand(s), and speakers. Each participant will need to bring any other instruments or resources needed to perform his/her unique talent. Please be sure to join in on this special event and cheer on our participants!
Member Care
We are excited to have three couples available to provide member care during the conference, all serving under Barnabas International. They are available to listen, process, debrief, and provide resources to you and your children. Please feel free to share a meal with them, grab them during a coffee break, or schedule some private time to talk.

If you desire a developmental or academic assessment for your child, please fill out the questionnaire here, which will provide our staff with essential information for understanding your child’s needs. We will then recommend assessments/testing appropriate for addressing these concerns. Our assessors are not able to make diagnoses. Individual assessments and testing slots are limited and on a first come first serve basis. Please contact assessments@shareeducation.org with any questions about the tests.
SHARE Education Services does not provide medical, psychological, or educational diagnoses and does not represent its services as a substitute for evaluation by a properly licensed professional in the family’s local jurisdiction. SHARE’s Evaluation and Assessment Team provides educational support through testing, consultation, general observations, resource suggestions, and practical recommendations. When a formal diagnosis or legally recognized determination is needed, families should seek evaluation from an appropriately licensed professional or qualified provider in their area.
The final day to sign up for testing is 31 August 2026.

This test provides information on the development of the concepts and skills your child needs to become a successful reader. Phonemic and phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension are all part of the Reading Assessment.

This test is appropriate for evaluating milestones of speech and language development in children, including receptive and expressive language skills, language processing skills (word association, listening comprehension, and following directions), articulation of speech sounds, voice impairments, stuttering, and screening of pragmatic and social aspects of communication. Space is very limited for this test. You will receive a preliminary report and recommendations during your consultation time. At a later date, you will receive a full report, as well as an opportunity for further consultations. The assessment will be carried out by a speech/language pathologist.

SHARE offers group achievement testing for students grades 3–12 to help determine if a student is “on track” with their peers. The tests are completed remotely online, with parents helping as proctors at home prior to the conference. The NWEA MAP Growth assessment measures academic progress in Math, Reading, and Language Usage over three separate testing sessions.
Results provide parents and educators with helpful insight into academic strengths and areas for growth, allowing parents to better tailor homeschool instruction or supplement learning alongside a student’s national school program.

The Feifer Assessment of Math is a comprehensive, research-based tool designed to evaluate the underlying neurocognitive processes that contribute to math performance. Rather than simply measuring how well a student can compute or solve problems, the FAM helps identify why a student may struggle with math — whether the difficulty stems from language, working memory, visual-spatial reasoning, or specific math anxiety.
Time required: 1.5-2 hours

If you have observed your child struggling in the areas of reading, writing, or mathematics, this test is appropriate for bringing to light areas of strength and weakness. In some instances, these tests may identify areas that need special attention or further assessment; however, this test alone does not diagnose learning disabilities. Space is very limited for this test.
You will receive a preliminary report and recommendations during your consultation with a SHARE staff member. A full report will be provided at a later date, along with the opportunity for additional consultations.

The Feifer Assessment of Reading is a comprehensive, research-based tool designed to evaluate the underlying neurocognitive processes that contribute to reading performance. The FAR helps identify why a student may struggle with reading — whether the difficulty stems from decoding orthographic processing, reading fluency, and/or comprehension deficits.
Time required: 1.5-2 hours
Occupational Therapy Evaluation (Ages birth – adult)

This testing may be helpful in determining the causes for underlying developmental delays, behavioral and sensory issues, focusing and attending, illegible handwriting difficulties, dyspraxia, and other coping challenges. Using a parent interview, clinical observations, and formal testing, the therapist will examine a variety of foundational skills needed for normal growth and development. Space is very limited for this test. Families will receive a preliminary report and recommendations during your consultation time with the Occupational Therapist. Families will receive a full report at a later date as well as an opportunity for further consultations.

The Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ-3) is a developmental screener that is completed in conjunction with the parent, child, and SHARE staff member to assess a child's development across four key areas: communication, gross and fine motor skills, problem solving skills, and personal/social milestones. This is an ideal assessment for parents who are wondering if their child's development is on track and age-appropriate. The ASQ shows parents what skills their child has already mastered and what skills they can be looking for next. It also includes suggested learning activities for further development. There is an optional Social-Emotional component which is offered at no additional charge and gives further insights into emotional development. Our staff can make recommendations and referrals to other specialists as needed.

Career Direct

Career Direct is for anyone 16 years old and older. Unlike other career guidance assessments that explore one or two facets of a person’s identity, Career Direct examines four essential components of career selection: personality, interests, skills, and values. The Career Direct assessment and subsequent 36-page report are available in 22 different languages. Currently, all follow-up consultations are done in English.
This comprehensive assessment is completed online in approximately 90 minutes and submitted to Career Direct. One of our SHARE certified consultants will receive the results and set up a consultation time to meet in-person or virtually with the teen and parents to review the Career Direct report. Our consultant will spend extensive time going through the report with the student, which also includes examining possible career opportunities and initiating an action plan for pursuing those opportunities.
Consultations may occur at the conference or on-line. Please allow 2.5 to 3 hours for the consultation.
