FAQ - How do I log my service hours? You have a couple of options, see below:
Create your own Google Doc and share it with Mr. Werley digitally. Many students take this route. Make sure to include a description of the event, date completed, total hours and a signature by someone who can verify that you actually took part in the service you are submitting (a parent signature is fine).
OR
You can pick a paper copy of the service hour log from the black shelf outside of Mr. Werley's office. Simply write in the same information listed above on this log and drop off at my office by the end of the school year (June 4th).
OR
You can print off the log from the tab found above.
FAQ - Am I still eligible to be in NJHS, I am not sure because my grades have dropped? ANSWER: You need to maintain a 90% cumulative GPA for the first two trimesters. This can be found on the bottom of your report card. You DO NOT need to earn High Honors to be in good standing.
Welcome Back!! We are looking forward to a successful and rewarding school year. Members please take a moment to refresh your memory with the NJHS expectations and requirements for membership. We will have a general membership meeting at the beginning of the school year to review expectations and answer any questions that you may have. Please don't hesitate to email or stop down to see Mr. Werley at any time with questions. All the best for a great year!!
NJHS Update - Posted January 28, 2022
Happy New Year and happy second semester. With end of the 1st semester, we will now be looking at the students who have achieved High Honors. Those students who have not previously been inducted, but meet the initial High Honors screener for this year will be eligible to apply for membership. Stay tuned for an email that notifies you of your eligibility. As always, do not hesitate to reach out to Mr. Werley with questions at x1312 or email wermat@share.wilsonsd.org
For current members ... A friendly reminder that you must maintain a 90% cumulative average in order to be in good standing. You do not need to earn High Honors each semester. Check your report card to ensure that you have a 90% or higher. Also, your service hours are due on or before the last day of school (June 3, 2022). However, if you have plans to finish up hours this summer, please make arrangements with Mr. Werley so that he is aware and can expect a late submission.
Have a great Spring Semester and stay healthy!!
