All Wilson elementary schools will be hosting parent/teacher conferences on Thursday, March 19 from 5:00-8:00 pm, as well as Friday, March 20th from 8:30am-3:30 pm. Due to the importance of home and school communication, it is our goal to have teachers meet with the parents/guardians of every child assigned to their classroom during these designated times to be able to share information regarding the child’s progress in the areas of academics and behavior.
We do prefer in-person parent-teacher conferences, however, we will offer a virtual conference with your child’s teacher(s) if this is necessary, please note virtual on your SignUp Genius. We strongly encourage parents/guardians to attend this 15 minute conference without your child or siblings.
To sign-up for a conference time, parents/ guardians will need to access the Parent-Teacher Conference Sign-Up website for their child’s elementary school and sign-up for a conference time slot by Monday, March 16th. These links can be found on each Wilson Elementary School’s website starting Wednesday, February 18th. To sign-up for a conference time, parents/guardians will need to locate the name of their child’s teacher and follow the link to sign-up for a time slot via the teacher’s Sign-Up Genius form. Each conference will be 15 minutes long.
Conferences will be held in person or virtually via Google Meet if necessary. Parents must indicate if they prefer virtual on the Sign-Up Genius Form. Once the conference schedules are set, teachers will be communicating with each of their students’ parents/guardians to confirm the date, time, and Google Meet information (if needed) for each conference. Confirming this information will be important, so please look for this communication from your child’s teacher.
Parents of 4th and 5th grade students should sign up for a conference with the homeroom teacher only. The homeroom teacher will be prepared to share information from both classes/teachers.
If you wish to discuss your child’s progress in Art, Music, Physical Education, Library, or Discovery, please communicate with your child’s teacher. Our special teachers and special education teachers will try to coordinate conferences, where possible, with the classroom teacher. We look forward to meeting with you!
