Management & Marketing is an exciting, engaging course that provides students with the opportunity to develop confidence using business-related information technologies. Students will understand the importance of budgeting, communicating using industry techniques, marketing and promotions, and will create their own exclusive business plans.
What to Expect:
Management and Marketing 10 focuses on computer applications related to key business concepts. Students will work with a number of computer programs to develop a foundation in business oriented information processing, communication, and financial management. Students use word processing, spreadsheet and database software to learn basic document editing and formatting, as well as general numeric and graphical data manipulation and record keeping. They use these skills to learn the fundamentals of computer technology, basic management and marketing concepts, and merchandising strategies of interest to retail employees, managers or owners. It is designed to prepare students for the world of work or for additional study at the post-secondary level at the University of Alberta, MacEwan or NAIT exploring careers in business.
