Fashion Studies is an exciting and creative way to gain real-life, hands-on experience in fashion design and construction. This course includes sewing, sketching, drafting, designing garments and quilting textiles. This will start to prepare you for your dream career in Fashion.
What to Expect:
A career in fashion is exciting, competitive and fast-paced. The Fashion Studies program at Jasper Place emphasizes construction, design and illustration. You will have the opportunity to enroll in one, two or all three years. We’ll spend time sewing, selecting colors, fabrics and styles, learning industry standards, sketching designs, designing, creating prototypes while looking into the world of fashion trends. You will personalize your very own hoodie, create trendy home decor and learn sustainability through upcycling. All of your beautiful creations prepare you to showcase your work in Kingsway’s fundraising “ready to Shine” fashion show.
