Miriam loyd

Miriam is the Assistant Director for internships and Employer Engagement. She educates students faculty and staff about the importance of internships in career development and success. She leads a series of workshops, information sessions and career panels, and conferences on acquiring internships and how to be a standout intern featuring top alumni and employers. She educates employers on the marketability of Brooklyn College students, placing students in internships and working aggressively to increase internship placements. Miriam connects students with organizations offering comprehensive high-level diversity internship opportunities such as Inroads, T. Howard Foundation, HACU, and more. Her general duties include: career planning and coaching, job and internship searching, connecting students with alumni mentors in the sciences, professional skills training, resume review, and interview preparation. She is the host of the annual Rising Stars Internship Conference, on-campus Coordinator for the MTA Internship Program, and Liaison to the School of Natural and Behavioral Sciences.
