ALl About Halo Infinite

The wait is over. Here's what we know about Halo Infinite

October 6, 2021

When the first Halo game was released, no one expected it to be such a huge hit for Xbox. But to the surprise of many, Halo has grown into a massive franchise. The Halo games have consistently become more complex and fleshed-out every year- and Halo Infinite promises to be no different. The story of Halo is complex, but essentially the player plays as a Chief in the Spartan military, which is a band of skilled warriors who try to save the galaxy by fighting aliens and robots. Halo Infinite will continue this story from previous events following Halo 5 Guardians. In Infinite, the player will be able to invite others to multiplayer games through discord. There will also be a lot of new weapons added, as well as new features to the Halo gameplay that fans love.

The campaign events will continue off of the previous events of Halo 5, in which Cortana, the "Masterchief" (or protagonist)'s formerly most trusted confidant, has turned on him. She corrupted Forerunner guardians and is using them to destroy the galaxy. Halo Infinite will take place three years after Cortana's attempt to destroy the galaxy. Microsoft has not released too much on the Halo Infinite campaign, but they are sporadically giving off more details as the release date approaches.

For the first time in Halo history, Halo Infinite will allow players to send invites to play the game with their friends through discord. Discord is a very popular social media app in which people can talk and message their friends and, as well as invite them to video games. This new feature is only available on PC versions of Halo Infinite. This feature is important because if somebody who plays Halo doesn’t have the Xbox app on their PC, they can still invite others to play Halo through Discord.

In addition to these revolutionary features, Halo Infinite is also adding new weapons to the game. This includes weapons such as “the Ravager,” which launches plasma and has a blade at the end of it; “the Mangler,” which launches spikes; “the CQS48 Bulldog,” an action combat shotgun; “the Pulse Carbine,” an assault rifle that shoots plasma; and “the VK78 Commando,” which is an automatic tactical rifle. This is a good feature because it can allow players to have wider access to more weapons in the game.

There will also be some new features added to the multiplayer style of gameplay. It will be free to play in multiplayer, and there will be a battle pass included. A "battle pass" is something that allows players to unlock new things for multiplayer that will change the look of their character, as well as their weapon. New player armor and looks for player icons will be added, as well as new, different maps. Multiplayer will also include stunning 4k graphics and will it will be possible for PC players and Xbox players to play together. Halo Infinite will still include the well-known game modes all Halo fans are familiar with, like capture the flag, deathmatch, and defend-the-point. Loading times in multiplayer will be less than previous Halo games and fewer bugs will be found than in Halo 5.

For years, Halo Infinite has been the "next big thing" in the Halo universe, and now the wait is almost over. Halo Infinite’s new campaigns, new ways to invite players, new weapons, and new multiplayer features seem to be paving a road to a great future for Halo.
