A new mascot has finally been decided. What should you expect next?
After months of planning and voting, the new Edgewood mascot has finally been decided. Starting in the 2021-2022 school year, all of the students at our unique school of choice will be known as the Edgewood Wolves!
This is more than a cosmetic change. A new mascot brings change to almost every facet of school life. We'll have to decide on new names for Tribe, Indian Time, the Powwow, and more, not to mention repaint the gym and make new club shirts.
Ideas have already been floated- changing the name of Tribe to Pack or Den, etc.- and students are enthusiastic to see these new changes. These decisions have not yet been finalized, but it will certainly be an exciting time with new ideas coming forward.
It's clear that the Wolves will bring new life to the Edgewood campus in the new school year. New chants will start during sports games, and Edgewood cheerleaders will be challenged to create new spirited routines.
The entire student body has been on the edge of their seats in the midst of this new mascot selection process, and even more exciting times are sure to come next year as students adjust to life as the Edgewood Wolves!
