Science and Engineering Fair Presentation
Longleaf's Fair Jan 31, 2022
UPATE: ALL information is accessible through google classroom via launchpad. Your child has the class code as Mrs. Kledzik taught EVERYONE how to do a bibliography in media and Ms. Guarino provided the class code to you when she introduced the Science Fair to your child in August and set up their logbooks. Please do not click the links below.
First, select a topic. Topics are due no later than October 15, 2021. However, the sooner you select a topic, the more time you will have to complete. Fill out your project approval form and risk assessment/designated supervisor form and submit to your classroom teacher. They will approve your topic/help you revise it. Then your teacher will give you the logbook requirements to glue into the first page of your logbook, and the HOW TO for your division - remember, there are 3 different divisions: Science, Engineering, and Math and Computer Sciences.
Then research! You must have at least 3 sources, and a bibliography in APA format.
November 5, 2021: All forms are due, and students must declare whether or not they intend to submit their project to the Longleaf Science and Engineering Fair in January.
December 17, 2021: All student logbooks are due. IF the student is going to the Longleaf Fair, teachers will give feedback and logbooks back prior to Winter Break. This is the time students will use to make any changes needed, and build their board for Fair.
January 14, 2022: All students going to Longleaf Fair must submit their logbooks and their boards to their teachers. If any changes need to be made, your teacher will guide you.
January 31, 2022: Longleaf Science and Engineering Fair will take place during school hours. All students who enter the fair will be interviewed at least once by a judge. The awards will take place that evening at 5:30pm in the Longleaf Cafe.
March 10, 2022: South District Science and Engineering Fair
