If a parent needs assistance creating their FOCUS account once they get their PIN, directions are located on the parent portal and can also be found HERE.
Notify your school tech who will put a ticket in to the help desk.
There will be a "FOCUS" button on the district as well as the school homepage. Each student has a unique PIN assigned to them. Schools will provide parents with a letter that is called the Parent PIN Letter. The letter has the student PIN code on it and instructions for the parent on how to register their account. The PIN letter may be generated and printed on paper or may be emailed via Focus to the parent's email listed in the student record.
If you have another person who is verified to have access to FOCUS information on a student, you may provide them with the PIN letter. The student only has one PIN, therefore the same PIN may be used for multiple parent accounts.
They will be locked out after 5 failed login attempts. To get them back in, they should use the "password reset feature". There is no ability to reset passwords on the BPS end.
